Acro Play Yoga
This is not your average yoga class! Acro Play Yoga is a beginner to intermediate level class inspired by the art of partner acrobatics and the practice of acro-yoga. Each week will introduce a new pose and different variations that will help students build strength, flexibility and balance through partner and group work. Classes will begin with a series of simple cardio exercises and basic yoga poses, and will end with conditioning drills. In between we will explore a number of flying-yoga poses, including, front bird, folded leaf, throne and star! There will be a strong emphasis on proper alignment, correct body position and good communication skills. This class is great for beginners who would like to explore the practice of acro-yoga. Experienced “bases” and “flyers” will be challenged to increase their endurance, flexibility and range of motion. Group work is encouraged. Partnerships will be honored. Please wear comfortable clothes that allow you to work upside down. Come alone or bring a friend!
This class is on Thursday evenings from 6-7:30pm. $20 drop in, or buy a 6 class pass for $99.
